The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is pleased to announce the 2017 Norman E. Borlaug International Agricultural Science and Technology Fellowship Program.
USDA is now accepting the application from Indonesian scientists. The application deadline is November 30, 2016.
For 2017 Borlaug program, research priorities for Indonesia are:
- Plant Health: New technologies and skills in the plant breeding and genetics, such as: gene mapping, gene expression, gene deletion, gene introduction, marker-assisted plant breeding, DNA mapping, and other tools.
- Climate Smart Agriculture: Developing crop area estimation procedures and crop yield models based on the applications of remote sensing and/or Geographic Information System (GIS).
- Food Policy: Food policy development and evaluation through regulatory science.
